One must take responsibility for oneself to better a situation. Yes looking into the mirror is important, but I think it's more often a mixture of oneself and the circumstances they're presented in in life. Some things we have power over but not all things. No one forces us but circumstances can dictate our path in life. And for some they become enslaved to those circumstances. Thanks for sharing @tarazkp
How we deal with and think about the circumstances is up to us and that could put too identical people on very different paths. Many are enslaved by the way they feel about things, not the way things actually are.
