The Blockchain Man - I am he

It is a bit older, but i was enthralled to read it and that Taylor Pearson had taken the time to organize and write down my thoughts. Yes, my thoughts. His thoughts, our thoughts, the COLLECTIVE thoughts of the Blockchain men (and VERY importantly women).

I've often struggled to give any idea to my non-technical parents what I do and are working on. My mother recently survived colon cancer which has served to bring us closer somewhat as a family and in that I've been working to communicate more. I shared the below with them in an email, and wanted to just record it somewhere important, substantial, on the blockchain as my attestation that I'm in. I'm investing in and driving to the future, with also a leg in the past and dedicated to not leaving any good people behind as the world changes. and the world is changing. And those like Dan Larimar are leading the future, there's need all around to make the message accessible, the tech accessible, the change understandable, and to help people with empathy as we live in more and more confusing times. There's a purity and peace of mind that comes from really deeply understanding the blockchain.

The world is changing drastically and faster than ever. I was fortunate enough to get to the head of a important space for a important company in the global economy.

I do really think that in my lifetime we can change the whole economic system and as a result, global society.

This is what the smartest people at the core of blockchain are really working on. And most reading about blockchain are confused because it is highly technical, and also there is a lot of deliberate noise and false information.

This article describes the socio economic forces and things behind what I’m working on. Thought you might be interested - I can’t explain the tech, but the below should make sense about what it enables.

I’ve never been one to think small or focus on just what is in front of me, I think on a universal scale and into the future and work to change things in large systems and I’ve never conformed to any of them, just always broke them and built my own and refused to confirm to what “the system” enforces.

I’ve exited capitalist and consumerism society, all my purchases are sustenance and technology related to further my pursuits and interests. I only do leisure things for the children or Lana and I’m basically a modern day mad computer scientist, with a day job working in an extremely conservative company. This is what the world has changed to already, a college drop out hacker that has always shunned the system now has this financial power. This is happening all around.

There’s a lot of turmoil all around, and at the basis, I believe it is the struggle between control and freedom that has always occupied human kind - and in a capitalistic systems we’ve lost. In a socialist system, we’ve lost. In a totalitarian system, we’ve lost.

The combination of financial power and monopoly on the power structures locks out any other conversation from society at large.

Technology is changing this. And with Blockchain, the CONTROL of the global power of technology was taken from those who have the most money and resources to that anyone with a computer, brain and intelligence has the same level playing field in access to the world’s technology resources at scale. This is what is going on with Bitcoin and Blockchain that is so much lost in the noise and the press.
