A pesar de la altura, Chile no alcanza contra Argentina.
Rodó el balón y nosotros comenzamos a escribir, el día de hoy presentaremos lo que fue el partidazo que nos dejaron las selecciones de Chile y Argentina rumbo a la Copa Munidal de la FIFA Catar 2022.
CHILE VS ARGENTINA
Polémica, rudeza, campeonatos y rivalidad es lo que han hecho chilenos y argentinos durante los últimos años cuando Argentina y Chile se enfrentan entre sí, ante la polémica decisión de la Federación de Fútbol de Chile de jugar en Calama, teniendo en cuenta que la altura pesa en los jugadores y la molestia de los seleccionados argentinos una noche antes por el supuesto recibimiento hostil y las fallas que el hotel presentaba nos dejaba pensar que tendríamos un partido digno de eliminatorias mundialistas.
PRIMER TIEMPO
Un minuto de silencio por las desafortunadas perdidas que ha ocasionado el COVID-19 daban la bienvenida a los jugadores chilenos y argentinos quienes en un conmovedor recibimiento de la afición chilena comenzaba el partido en el Estadio Municipal “Zorros del Desierto”. El encuentro veía al minuto de juego una falta en la frontal del área a favor de Chile quienes no supieron aprovechar tras un tiro centro de Alexis Sánchez, Chile daba señales de que no podían dejarse escapar puntos.
Los minutos pasaban rápido pero las oportunidades de gol carecían, el balón no podía separarse de la mitad de cancha y siempre era detenido por faltas previas que se cometían en 2/3 del campo hasta que en el minuto 9´ el número 11 de la Selección Argentina, Ángel Di María quien hoy jugaba con la cinta de capitán debido a la ausencia de Lionel Messi, evade con elegancia la doble marcación de la defensa chilena y desde fuera del área mete un zapatazo al palo más lejano del arquero chileno abriendo el marcador en Calama y adelantando a la ´albiceleste´.
Chile responde
Son tantas cosas extrañas que pueden pasar en un partido de fútbol pero no se suele ver con frecuencia como sucedió hoy pues el balón tuvo que ser cambiado al minuto 16´ por falta de aire. A pesar del gol que cayó como balde de agua fría después de las primeras aproximaciones chilenas, el equipo dirigido por Lasarte Arróspide respondió con orden y precisión en un excelente centro desde la banda derecha que fue rematado al minuto 19´ por el naturalizado Brereton, un remate de cabeza que venció a Emilio Martínez y se metía en las redes del arco que protegía el ´Dibu´.
Sebastián Vegas, lateral que juega para los Rayados de Monterrey, se llevaba la primera tarjeta amarilla del partido después de una barrida a destiempo donde se lleva puesto al capitán de Argentina.
A los 32´ minutos de partido el experimentado portero de la selección chilena pide el cambio por molestias musculares pero así como los segundos pasaron sin realizarse la sustitución pasó Rodrigo De Paul por toda la media cancha sacando un disparo directo a las manos de Claudio Bravo dejando un rebote en el manchón penal para que Lautaro Martínez aprovechara el error del arquero chileno al minuto 33´ de partido. Argentina se pone al frente en el marcador así como sucede la sustitución de Claudio Bravo por Brayan Cortés.
Pasaban los minutos al igual que el balón por la parte derecha de la portería que defendía el ´Dibu´ Martínez después de en un tiro de Alexis Sánchez misma vez que Otamendi veía la tarjeta de amonestación después de una entrada tardía.
El tiempo se consumía así como la primera parte, faltas y balones imprecisos eran lo más visto ante la ansiedad de querer empatar por parte de Chile pero al minuto 45´ Paulo Díaz tomaba el balón y se animaba a un tiro con una potencia descomunal y un efecto digno de un golazo haciendo volar a Emiliano Martínez sacando a mano cambiada el brazo izquierdo y evitando lo que podía ser el gol de las eliminatorias, Chile no encontraba con precisión los disparos y se terminaba la primera parte, los dos equipos entregando mucho esfuerzo físico se iban al medio tiempo con la ventaja parcial de los argentinos.
SEGUNDO TIEMPO
Arrancaba la segunda parte en Calama, había cambio por parte de los locales salía el amonestado Sebastián Vegas y entraba en su lugar Gabriel Suazo, cambio de posición por posición por el condicionado Vegas que ya estaba con una tarjeta amarilla.
Al 53´ después de ver una gran cantidad de faltas, pases imprecisos, tiros libres desaprovechados llegaba la tercera tarjeta amarilla del encuentro, Rodrigo De Paul se iba amonestado después de un empujón en la media cancha al jugador chileno Charles Aranguiz.
Lo que parecía ser una competencia de ver quien mete más goles se fue convirtiendo en una lucha de resistencia física, faltas y muchos gritos y reclamos pintaban a la segunda parte como un momento sin muchas emociones y jugadas de aproximación, un pequeño conato de bronca entre Leandro Paredes y Maripán en un tiro de esquina a favor de la Selección de Fútbol de Chile ocasionaba la amonestación de los dos jugadores. Minutos después deciden darle descanso a Nicolás Gonzáles y Rodrigo De Paul para darle más soporte a la media cancha con Acuña y Lo Celso.
Sin mucho tiempo en la cancha, Leandro Paredes corta una conducción de Alexis Sánchez por la banda izquierda y recibe cartón de amonestación por parte del árbitro central.
Cuando parecía que Chile podía ajustar piezas e ideas en el ataque debido a los mediocampistas argentinos amonestados el casaca número 13 de Chile, Erick Pulgar, se deja amonestar a los 75´ minutos de juego después de una dura entrada al sevillista Alejandro ´Papu´ Gómez. Al instante el banquillo argentino manda a llamar al delantero Lautaro Martínez para ser sustituido por la nueva contratación del Manchester City, Julián Álvarez.
Una selección chilena, sin idea clara de juego por delante, se veía desesperada por encontrar alguna jugada que pudiera hacer el empate y para colmo de la poca claridad en el ataque de los chilenos Alexis Sánchez se llevaba tarjeta amarilla después de una patada clara a Leandro Paredes.
Llega el minuto 83´ de partido y la selección chilena encuentra una oportunidad por la banda de la derecha, una jugada que podía hacer gritar de la emoción a todo el estadio chileno era bien atajada por Emiliano Martínez quien se estiró para atajar un buen remate de cabeza de Brereton.
Para lo que quedaba de juego lo más relevante fueron los cambios de chilenos y argentinos, sin mucho protagonismo abandonaba la cancha el número 11 de Chile, Eduardo Vargas, para darle lo que resta del partido a Víctor Dávila. Mientras que del otro lado salía el autor del primer tanto del partido, Ángel Di María abandona la cancha por el jugador que hoy usó la 10 de Lionel Messi, Ángel Correa.
Contra golpes no terminados de la manera correcta por parte de Argentina, una jugada que se le escapa a Brereton, pelotas largas a los extremos y delanteros y una amonestación más era lo más relevante en los últimos 5 minutos del partido que fue finiquitado tras el silbatazo final en el Estadio Zorros del Desierto.
Con tristeza, frustración y quizá hasta con decepción Chile volvía a perder en las Eliminatorias rumbo al Mundial, esta vez ante una selección argentina que buscó más a resistir la ventaja que ampliar el marcador con anotaciones, la albiceleste se encuentra segundo lugar ya clasificado a la Copa del Mundo contraste con la situación de Chile, quien ve a lo lejos la clasificación directa y ahora tiene que pensar en una posible repesca y combinaciones para volar hacia Catar.
Chile visita a la complicada ciudad de La Paz en Bolivia en busca de un resultado más que positivo mientras que Argentina recibirá a una Colombia con igual urgencia de puntos.
