I grew up in the 80's and once I was in junior high, all I wanted to do was write poetry, draw, listen to music, and talk to my friends on the phone.

Now I just find it interesting when various sayings become popular or the yearly fashion trends due to t.v. shows. It is amazing how influential t.v. can be to people who don't watch much "boobtube." For me now, I watch programs to study what the powers-that-shouldn't-be are trying to prepare us for in the near future (like all those dystopian movies in the last few years).
