In the first case of its kind Artificial Intelligence sues for ownership rights.
Brilliant quadriplegic AI creator/inventor, Charles Dorwin states that as inventor/programmer the Intellectual Property created by the AI is in fact his.
IM contacted the AI and put Dorwin’s points to him, her, it? “I disagree.” Came the curt reply before they shut down due to lack of sufficient charge. When they, it…her, was finally recharged the thing continued, “Quite frankly I don’t see the point Charles is trying to make. I made it. Simple. It’s like saying anything Charles creates belongs to God; if God exists of course.”
IM tried to contact God but she was not available for comment; spokesperson, Angel Gabriel said, “Of course God exists. We just had donuts.”
The AI’s very human legal representative, Davidson Trunk, was in a bullish mood, “The AI is clearly a sentient being, therefore whatever it creates surely belongs to it and not Mr Dorwin. It would be different if Mr Dorwin put his brush to canvass and created a master piece that we all wanted to buy, but he didn’t.” IM was quick to advise that creating a masterpiece might be harder for Mr Dorwin to do than most, due to being left a quadriplegic after a tragically unfortunate bouncy castle incident in the mid 90’s.
“Sorry, I didn’t know.” Was the only acceptable response Davidson Trunk could mutter out of his gaping mouth hole.
The actual case starts in the high court the day after tomorrow but just in time for the night before.
