All right. Still just getting my minnow feet wet here on steemit. Today is my second day, and as such, this is my second post. I'm going to try and post once a day with both original and curated content intermingled. Hopefully my posts will bring laughter to the growing steemit community. That's my aim. I love to laugh, I think if laughter is a part of your day every day, then you'll live longer. It truly is the best medicine in my book.
Today I'm testing the waters, (ever since I learned of the minnow/dolphin/whale metaphor for steemit users - which frankly, was less than 24 hours ago) I can't seem to stop using water idioms and metaphors myself. I'm sure I'll run out of them in a day or two, so bear with me.
But I digress... (for the above image I thank @tkembo for his post here 3 months ago titled: Whats the difference between Minnows, Dolphins and Whales on steemit? & why should you care?)
Today I'm ... erm ... gauging (I'd italicize that last word for humourous emphasis - shut up I'm Canadian that IS the way it's spelled! But I haven't learned Markdown quiiiite yet) the darkness of steemit's funny bone with a 21 second video from a couple of Christmases ago that I frankly found so funny, I laughed myself to tears and then watched it more times than I'll admit - because frankly, I lost count. I would, as an introduction and justification for my unrestrained mirth like to put this into perspective before you watch it by saying, honestly, First. World. Problems.
So here's the video, that is still, 2 holiday seasons later, able to make me guffaw if it suddenly comes up again in one of my social media feeds:
Now, I'm sure there were tears on Christmas day following this unfortunate fiery fairy incident, (and not my mirthful ones) but honestly, Boxing Day (December 26, kind of like Black Friday in the States) surely brought another Flutterby Fairy into that little girl's life, and she barely gave that first, let's face it, defective fairy (that clearly had a death wish) another thought. She also learned a valuable lesson about the power of flame (or hopefully her parents did and put a safety screen in front of that indoor inferno).
So long First Flutterby Fairy, and thanks for all the laughs!
P.S. It's interesting that a site called steemit (and all it's hot vapour implications) would breed the minnow/dolphin/whale analogy from its users. So watch out for your fins and fairy wings this holiday season steemit community!
Signed,
Your new Canadian laughing lady.
hahhahaahah great post @sharpwit
Thanks @wartrapa! My hope is to bring daily levity to steemit. Glad your sense of humour is as wicked as mine. Hopefully there are many more who share it. ;)
That's a lovely hope :) I'll be around ready to laugh!!!
HA HA HAAAA HA HA HA!!!! I Just noticed that the fairy doll is actually named FlutterBYE. Bet that little girl didn't have time before hers went up in smoke. Ha ha ha! I'm awful, I know.
hahahaha who the hell name a flying doll like this??? That guy was probably fired after this video... but I'm sure is a funny person!!! :D
Ha haaaaa ha ha! Right? I'm miffed I missed it when I wrote the post. Now I'm thinking of so many other funny things to say. Maybe I'll write my next post about prophetic naming of toys. I'll have to be a research to see if it will, waaaait for it, Fly. ;)
