Whoever the emoji programmers are, their sinister intent isn't being missed by anyone who's paying attention...
In February on this blog, together we reviewed all the heinous and blatant examples of sexism, elitism, thinly veiled attempts at mocking politicians, and grievous bodily harm directed towards the children of the world.
The emoji makers sneered at the Geneva Convention, encouraged adults towards active limb dismemberment, and threatened (warned?) the citizens of the world 🌎 of the impending climatic apocalypse that awaits us...
All this, via the
"innocent cute little emojis"
we all have access to through the phones in our hands.
You'll find another one in today's post that implies a threat not just towards an individual, an occupation, or a gender; but to an entire Nation!
As a Son of Canada, this one makes my maple syrup boil...
HOW?
How have they threatened this beautiful, friendly, polite sovereign nation?

I have had to shave several cats since reading this post. I was just so outraged!! But now all the neighbors are knocking at my door looking for their cat. They don't understand why I had to shave them. They don't understand the disrespectful nature of these emojis and how my cat shaving symbolizes my unending love for my country.
You have just partaken in a deep Canadian tradition, where Canadians from Vancouver to Newfoundland shave their cats to help them out of their winter coats (which were going to be shed anyway).

It's true folks. This is a demonstration on how we test to see if our cats are ready to be sheered for our traditional Canadian hats
You can try it yourself now by placing your cat on top of your head. If you can see through the hair they might not be ready, but if you can barely see, it is time for you to bring it in to the CCHC (Canadian Cat Hair Central) which is a government run building that harvests your cat's hair. Sadly, because we are "socialist" style government you won't be able to keep your own cats hair but instead all the cat hair gets eaqually distributed between all Canadians everywhere. That is why on the 8th of June every 15 year old Canadian gets their government issued hat. It is with these hats that we get access to health care. So should you get injured in Canada make sure to look for a guy with a hat to help you, else you might not get treated.
It is a proud day for each Canadian and Canadian Cat. I still think fondly on my Catsgiving Hat day. My pop-pop cried as the Mounties bestowed my furry gift.
I still have it... but I must admit I don't wear it very much, as I could never get used to the smell that seemed to linger in it's fabric. It stays in my glove compartment mostly so that I can have it handy in emergencies. You can never be too safe... and better safe than sorry I always say.
"Don't forget your Pussy Hat." is an interesting farewell that we say a lot. It is a saying of concern and love for our fellow Canadians, because without it they might be turned away at a hospital.

Also reddish brown leaves aren't unhealthy leaves they're the normal colour. It's very rare you'll see a fully red maple leaf.
