I think there is nothing in buying votes (see advertising) from time to time, when the post is at the 5th day and you can't earn it anymore, so you just help yourself to earn a tiny more and not try to push your post from the very beginning to go to the trend page.
I am not too harsh on people. There are individuals that will never be good in socializing, not even in a platform. Do you throw them away? No.
They help themselves as they want.
If this is done in a systemic way, something will be wrong and not sustainable in the structure of his steemit page and on the longterm it will fall.

Advertisers can come to me, pay me, put a banner on my post, then we all make money. Do youtubers earn ad revenue or do they pay advertisers? Do you skip the advertisement at the beginning of the video or do you watch it? Some of those people are spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars to put their post on trending for 2 days. Idiots. They are amateurs and do not know the business.
Buying votes isn't advertising. When those who abuse it defend themselves, they always mention their ROI. Proud of themselves. Scammers. The reward pool is limited. When you buy a vote, you purchase something that is free, while taking money away from everyone else. That's how the system works. If the reward pool was $100, my vote of one dollar goes to you. You now own 1% of the reward pool. If someone comes along and purchases $99.50 of the reward pool, you now own 0.5%. They cut you in half. Still sounds fair to you? Now the idiot who bought the reward pool doesn't even get $99.50. Most of that goes to a middleman.
I'm an independent artist. Why the fuck would I want a middleman? So I can become a starving artist? Isn't that the old system that made us starve?

Your vote is going to be worth a lot more in the next few days, but not if you drain your voting power. I have to charge mine as well. The reason I don't give everyone a 100% every time they come talk to me is because I'd drain my power within hours and have nothing left to give you fine people!
