Who saved the Ant from the River ??

Many of us had heard the story - "An ant and a Dove" where the symbol of friendship and gratefulness is shown.
On story an ant once go to a river for drinking water. But unfortunately a wave swept him away the water. A dove sitting on a tree near the river noticed the drowning ant. Then it helped him by dropping a leaf near him so that he could come to the side.
I use to give tuition to a student of fifth grade, in our country, to whom I was teaching her the story. When I'd finished till the above part of the story and was preparing myself for questioning -
"Her : Sir ?
Me : What ?
Her : How could the dove see that little ant from the branch of a tree ?
Me : Birds can see to a long distance. Haven't you seen the 'angry bird' movie ?
Her : Yes, sir. I've remembered.
Me : Now answer the question.
Who did save the ant ?
Her : An angry bird saved the ant !
Me : What ?? !!
Her : Sorry, sorry sir. A dove it was a dove and it was not angry. "
I laughed louder for few moment.
