Lol it's the linear rewards imo. It puts people in some competitive tunnel vision (which makes people bonkers), but perhaps rightfully so because if you're helping grow the network, you're actually losing out to purely selfish actors (which are doing the rational thing really). I've been feeling like a sucker for not joining the fiasco.
