RE: The Struggles Of Looking Young

in #funny7 years ago (edited)

You certainly received a lot of comments @alovelymess! Many can relate no doubt.

I married young too - I was 19. I had my first child at 21. I always looked older for my age but then as I got older I started to look younger. Go figure.

My husband is 10 years older than me and there was a time before I started going grey and getting wrinkles on my neck that people thought he was my father. That was embarrassing. !! Not just for him but for the clerk at the store. lol

Oh and I had an opposite problem when I qualified for a senior's discount .... they asked me for ID. lol

Oh wow, that's so sweet. My sister got married when she was 18. They are still married and have 2 beautiful kids! My husband is a year older than me. I think he looks older than he is lol.

Wow! That is too funny!

This will give you a giggle....our 43rd anniversary - I posted vintage wedding photos of us then and then now. here
Also, I figured by age, I am old enough to be your grandmother! Such a strange thot when I still feel young inside.

Wow. I can't believe you've been married 43 years. You looks so young and beautiful! My parents have been married for almost 30 years.

That's really why I wanted to you see the post. I needed to be told I am still young and beautiful! lol....just kidding.

I just wanted to give you a sense from our long marriage that age is only a way to measure how long you've lived, not how well you've lived your life or how well you look.

I do appreciate the compliment though...after all I'm still a girl :)

Aw! ❤ I still can't believe how long you've been married. Seriously, you look so young!
