RE: Hive Post Deleted - I No Longer Support This Blockchain

in #fundthemusic7 years ago

"I'm poking my head out of internet-hibernation just to do another update for this project because I love it SOOO much!"
"Upvote this post!"

Just noticing.
Another thing I've noticed: people with "projects helping others" or doing charity type things on Steemit are profiting personally, in many ways.
Since this is all being recorded in minute detail for all time, in a few more years a supercomputer will sift through the blockchain and identify anyone who profited from their non-profit ventures, so things can be made right.

Sort:

Well, first Ive never called this a "non-profit venture", and anyone who has ever met me would know that it's unnecessary, as profit is the last thing I'm ever striving for.

As for the veiled accusation, how do you figure I am profiting from giving away the payouts from 10 posts, 7 of which were my original content and had nothing to do with the project, PLUS over 200 SBD, 1 LTC, and 80k DOGE out of pocket...

I know what I'm gaining, I get to support & promote the conscious music I love, I am (maybe) getting new followers from the series, and I get to help show how powerful a tool Steemit is to direct abundance to the things we love. Certainly I'm not "gaining" in a financial sense though, and my asking people to upvote the post is obviously to:

  1. Boost it higher in the algorithms so more people see it
  2. Generate a higher "payout" to give the artists
