In contributing our qouta toward public education and awareness set of outreaches were organized by @bettervision within the stipulated time frame one of which was done at rural township called Atwima Boko in Kwanwoma District of the Kumasi Metropolis. The even started 9am in the morning and lasted for almost the entire day with the free exercise coming to an end around 4pm in the evening. The even saw massive patronage as over 100 people got the chance to be screened for free and also get free spectacles and medications for other ocular health conditions which did not require further treatment or referral.
The outreach was supported by the the unit committee and the leaders of the community. As usual we have lots of student volunteers coming on board to make the campaign a success. We also had the opportunity to talk to the folks about the pandemic that the world is fighting and how best to protect yourself by maintain high sanitation and good hygiene.
