Family reunion or friend gatherings are usually the highlight of our Holidays. We always have this idea that holiday gatherings are supposed to be joyful and stress-free. It is a wonderful time to gather together and share special time with friends and loved ones. Of course, gatherings involve eating, chikahan and chillnuman session. To make it more fun, here are the lists of games/activities that we could possibly do during gatherings:
1. Beer Pong
It is a drinking game in which players throw a ping pong ball across a table, a pyramid formation of half-filled cups of beer are arranged with the intent of landing the ball in a cup of beer. The game begins with the first team attempting to shoot ping pong balls into the opponent’s cups from across the table.
Each team then takes turns attempting to shoot ping pong balls into the opponent's cups. If the ball shoots into the opponent's cup, the player's are required to drink it. The first team to eliminate all of the opponent's cups is the winner.
Perfect for: 2 opposing teams of two or more players per side.
2. Drunk Jenga
Jenga is a very popular game. The name jenga is derived from kujenga, a Swahili word which means "to build". It is a game of physical skill. Players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower constructed of blocks.
In drunk jenga, just acquire a game of jenga with a twist. Write rules on each block and take turns removing one block at a time from the tower and placing it on top without knocking the tower over. When the block is successfully removed, the rule on the block is followed.
Perfect for: 4 or more players.
3. "Never Have I Ever"
The only injury here is the truth and the only saving grace is the guilt. So, spare your lies because with the pressure of this game plus with the help of drinks, the truth will set you free.
The first player says a simple statement starting with "Never have I ever", (like “never have I ever peed on my bed”). Anyone who at some point in their lives has done the action that the first player says, must drink. Play then continues around the circle, and the next person makes a statement.
Perfect for: group of people
4. Get to know each other better through cards and board games
Unplug from the digital world and have fun with family/friends the old school way. Dust off the classics like Scrabble, Monopoly, Chess and Uno and enjoy some analog fun with your loved ones. Just by virtue of playing them, board games can teach important social skills, such as communicating verbally, sharing, waiting, taking turns, and enjoying interaction with others. You’ll see each other in a different light and it would be a nice change of pace to be playing in 3D.
5. Karaoke
Sing your heart out at karaoke.
Nothing beats a night of karaoke with your loved ones. There’s something cathartic about belting out those power ballads and guilty pleasure pop songs old and new. Singing solo is a given, but songs that the whole group can chime in on are encouraged. Whether your voice is great or not, all is fair in karaoke after a few bottles of booze.
