Every other week I get a box of locally grown produce from the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm just down the road from me. This week the box had an eggplant in it, so I made ratatouille. After eating a delicious meal, I had enough to put some in the freezer and shared some with my daughter.

Locally grown fruits and vegetables are the BEST!
They are the best, and I love the farming practices that this place uses. I know my veggies truly are pesticide free and really organic.

It is nice and they do such a good job. They open the farm to their members to come pick when there are extras, and at the end of the season there is a gleaning where you can take anything still left in the fields. And they always invite the kids to come pick a pumpkin. I love driving past the farm and knowing those are MY veggies I see growing in the field. Thank you!

It's hard to capture the freshness in a photo. It is often picked just hours before they deliver it.
