Daphle is a kind of flowering tree It is known as Dambel, Demogola (Chakma) and Aruke (Garo). In English it is called 'False Manggostin', 'Mangki Fruit' 'Egg Fruit' or 'Yellow Mangsteen'. Its scientific name includes Garcinia xanthochymus which belongs to Clusiaceae families. Origin of the plant is Malaysia.

Origin of the deaf tree is Malaysia. There are about 140 species of 'Garcinia' group. Among them, the Daftol species took the first time to Hawaii Island in Albert Jaeger in 1900. Duffle is cultivated in South-East Asia for its fruit. Tacky duffles are very important. [4] It is made with jam, jelly, pickles, broth, sauce, cottage cheese, sugar beans and curries.
