They need the morons to buy their shit coin otherwise the price will tank as they are all in massive powerdowns... so this is to encourage the little pee ons to invest their hard earned money into the shit coins.. they think people are stupid. On top of that, if and when people do 'self vote' they will get punished by Steem Flag Rewards for doing so.. and then in turn will have to buy bot votes to earn back their reputation.. at which point they will most likely be accused of bid bot abuse.. which gives even more reason to downvote those folks.. it is like a master saying to his black slave in the 1890's here is some money go to the general store and buy yourself something nice. And then when the slave attempts to do as his master has instructed him.. he will be beat, whipped, and punished for it. And made to work 10 times harder than he already had to do before.
