Discovering truth for ourselves is one of the most empowering aspects of being conscious. Truth, as it is, cannot be determined by authority because it is independent of any authority. With such busy lives though, who has time to find truth for themselves. Would it be convenient to be told what's true?
Convenience has a hidden cost, especially when being told what to believe and it's not apparent to some at first. Once it's forgotten how to do the hard work for ourselves (because of convenience), all that will remain is the convenience. That is to say, once the subscription to main stream narrative is no longer questioned, then alternative views will be left out.
Is this how the Ministry of Truth begins?
