This is how the Oxford dictionary defines frustration:
feeling annoyed and impatient because you cannot do or achieve what you want.
So, have you ever been frustrated? Have things not turned out the way you would like?
I know the answer to that question. Obviously, sometimes things don't happen the way you want. And this is that way because things really almost never happen the way you want!
It is the truth, most of the time events seem to be the result of a random process that does not take into account your wishes or your feelings.
So if frustration is the result of something not going your way, then you should be frustrated most of the time, and this is not the case.
So let me tell you something.
Frustration is not a feeling you have when something does not happen the way you want, but when nothing happens the way you want, and everything seems to go against you. Then, suddenly you start to believe that there is a conspiracy against you, that a superior force sabotages your plans and destroyed in seconds the work that with much time and effort you built.
When this happens, you begin to live in a state of helplessness and that is when you experience frustration.
In a short time you calm down a bit, and you realize that nobody or nothing is conspiring against you, but a new threat takes over your thoughts. The cause of the problem now is you: "you are the one who has done everything wrong," That's what you say to yourself while at the same time remembering every little mistake you made, every fault, every oversight, every indignity.
Finally all these feelings and thoughts go away and life continues, you accept reality and start working on your goals again.
