Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - What an Appearance. Hope you enjoy the story.
Today is an important milestone for Mike, as he has successfully completed his mandatory military service to the nation. He and his fellow servicemen will be honor with a milestone parade.
Mike has invited both his parents to the ceremony, it is important to him as his parents separated when he was 10 as his father is constantly away from home. He father was unable to confirm his attendance till the eve of the parade. Mike was disappointed.
As Mike marched proudly onto the parade square on the command of the Parade Commander and this is something they had trained for months. As his did his final March past, his father stood up in his uniform and saluated Mike.
What an appearance that is, his father has been planning for this surprise since he received the invitation. What an appearance that is.
