I love you Bro!

The little boy stood for the selections while the kid owning the bat and his best friend got to select the teams.The kids were picked one after the other while he struggled for an eye. The tall boys built a wall,obstructing the little kid’s view. The selectors couldn’t see the lil champ. Through their hips, he peeked and waved his little arm gaining the selector’s attention. And the next moment, he fell by his back with an external force on his arm, and the wall was closed again. Soon, the wall was clear but he was on the other side, alone.He was never picked him for a team but he came there everyday in a hope.

He waited for consideration, hoping someone would drop-out but that would never happen. He was disappointed and started walking with exhausted hopes. A hand from behind landed on his little shoulder. He turned back and to his surprise, it was his Brother!
‘You are late today, the game almost started and I was left out today too!’; he said with grief. ‘I am here now, you want to bat first?’ ‘Yes’- he nodded and gave a wide smile exposing his milk teeth.
‘This is what I wanted to see,'your smile'. I’ll stand against anything that steals your smile. I love you!’ — He whispered to himself with as the kid's warm smile stole his heart.
‘I know you'd come. I love you!' — The little kid whispered to himself.

That day the kid hit sixes all around and went back home with his head held with pride,an ice cream and a broad smile.
