prompt was...
Robes
one day you will drop them
little case for a light body.
Mask over your true face,
the face you had before your parents were born.
Don’t like the way your robes hang today?
Tired of the wrinkles?
When you drop your robes you get to be
all the colors you ever saw
free as sunlight, wavelengths, supernovae
form no more
Everything is borrowed, and one day we have to give it back. Or, maybe, we have no use for it anymore. Lovely little write, and I like how you incorporated the prompt. Really brings to mind the saggy-ness of old age but at the same time spins a positive light on it.
That was beautiful! I do believe I am in my earthly body, and one day I will shed it!
If you haven't seen yet, this is today's prompt!
