Prompt: Earthquake
It's raining hard outside, the winds are strong. Thunder followed by lightning. We even caught the big bang. A beautiful sound.
There is no TV reception. We've had power cuts all day. Luckily we have some candles kept lying around. We would leave the light switch on so that we knew when the power was back.
These are the days you remember, because it is the days that you spend with your family.
There is no earthquake here, why spoil the romance of the story?
I know that you remember days like this, because this happened when I was a small child. We were in the early days of colour TV and 20 inches was considered to be standard. Three channels, BBC1, BBC2 and ITV.
No remote control, just 4 buttons by the side of the screen.
The power is back and we can get only ITV. This is the 1970s and they seem to love showing disaster movies.

I don't really even have those channels now. It's all streaming. It's a shame really. Something is lost now that we don't all watch the same stuff at the same time.

I wished there wasn't the option of constant TV. If I lived alone, there would be no TV in the house...
Nice idea, I watch so little of it myself. Mainly when Liverpool play football.
In our house, when my husband is home, that thing is on. I learned to tune it out... lol
