RE: Day 681: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: eagle feather

in #freewrite5 years ago

We have a curation trail for the @freewritehouse account. Let me think how we could do one that would upvote all freewriters in a way that everyone makes some money. Maybe @improv can put his thinking hat on - math is his thing 😄

Sort:

My thinking -- I'm not a math geek, but I'm competent -- are all of us regular freewriters on the trail? We know that just the converging of our votes will increase the value of each one. Maybe we can start there ... everybody just get on the @freewritehouse trail...

If I were to be the manager of the freewritehouse trail, I'd say the most important step on the way to being impactful would be to get more people following it. Not sure if @holger80 has such a mechanism, but a link to create a steemrewarding.com rule that makes it so you follow the @freewritehouse trail automatically would be awesome. (Tagging him in case this is something he can or would implement). Otherwise, it's on us to explain how trails work and how to use steemrewarding to follow one. Regardless, @freewritehouse and our boosters should be promoting the trail.

Then, I'd set up some rules for autovoting that @freewritehouse would follow. First, each human user would only get 1 vote/some increment of time, probably a week, but would depend on how many active freewriters we have.

We'd create rules for each active freewriter, and check regularly to make sure all our votes are on content we want to encourage.

The account would schedule the votes to come at minute 4 (which usually results in votes coming closer to minute 5) and it would only do the votes if the account had VP above 85%. It would only vote on posts tagged "freewrite". As we grew, if people had the will, they could do more manual curation, but as long as no one is abusing the system, this would be a good automated start. And we'd pay attention (via steemworld.org) that the system works as intended.
