Yea I think that freewriting is sometimes the key to a larger box of benefits; sidestepping second guesses and self censorship.
But it´s often better received than the usual because people are starving for something we can identify with or wanted to talk or write about- but didn´t.
So this Gillette topic has been going around.
Gillette wants men to show emotion?
... On second pass it occurred to me. Why does Gillette care how I express myself? The reactions I´ve seen by men are not favorable. I did not bother to watch it yet. Advertisers try to align with a target market so how does this make sense? Who might hold the emotional target they are aiming to hit (it works)? Oh!
Gillette has the stats needed to back this up but it goes like this... Which household member has the more influence over most household purchases?
Would corp. marketing consider social impacts + or- or influence besides benefiting their client exclusively? Probably not.
