Solitude

Solitude can be solstice
A way to be yourself
Without a watchful eye
Solitude can be peaceful
Quiet and complete.

Solitude can be lonely
An overpowering time
Alone with your thoughts
Nowhere to go but inside

Solitude can be a deafening
Loud and exaggerated
Every movement, every sound
Amplified.

Solitude can be straining
In more ways than one.
Straining on the mind
And strainning on the soul

Solitude can be a place
Where one never wants to leave
A place that you can be accepted
And not worry about what others think

Solitude can be happy
A meditation of thoughts
Of feelings
A way inside ones soul

Solitude can be so many things
Different to so many people
For me it's more than just one thing
It's something that can't be defined

Solitude is both a curse
And a blessing.

Fantastic work. Solitude is indeed so many things, often something we run from and other times something we seek out.
