Random Thought -- To sell gold to buy steem power or not, that is the question?

I am going to start doing giveaways.

To enter leave a brief comment with why you should get picked or what your plans for the money are and I will select up to 2 posts for a 100% up vote. (usually the same day)

My vote is currently worth .2 (ish)

I plan on raising my vote value over time.

I think you should select someone who has a clue of what your interests are, of which following markets seem to be front and center on your mind. I read, listen and watch every bit information to follow all markets I can. Also my curation trail cryptkeeper17 on steem auto now has you as a follow as I will direct them all to comment here as well. I would also give you my answer to your random thought each time is voted, unless encouraged to not do so. Enjoy the rest of your day @dreamryder007

Congratulations you win.

Thanks @dreamryder007 very cool of you thanks for holding the contest!

BTW I like the sell of gold to buy steempower. The daily gains of gold, assuming it sees any kind of rise, (which I don't believe will happen, even with a sharp correction) than your getting dividends daily in something that you participate in daily, and have to spend at least around an hour a week messing around. The ceiling for steem blows the ceiling for gold out of the water in my opinion, but the floor is obviously much more safe in gold. Depends on your situation and what you have that stashed away for, how much of your wealth it is, all that fun stuff. Apples to apples that is my opinion.

I think that steem power is overrated. Reputation and followers matters more. Thanks for doing these giveaways!

Congratulations you win.

Cause i'm new to steemit and still trying to understand how things work here. I think you should keep some of the gold, you never know when you may need it.

I think it depends on how many you are trying to sell. I actually still think there should be around 5-10% of the portfolio in gold for safety, depended on your asset allocation right now, it is hard to tell if you should sell out one asset and move all your proceed into another asset. Would I get some upvote? 🤣

No you should not sell gold, as equity will fall in rest of year and smart money will move to bonds for better rates. This will also push Gold to higher level. I would not advise to sell gold this year at least.
I hope this will help.

I wouldn't be able to answer that particular question for you unfortunately because I'm unfamiliar with a lot of Cryptocurrency that is out theret. I could see how buying more steem power would be of both advantage and disadvantage, but that's sort of a personal choice more than anything. Good luck on whichever option you decide on.
