When we bought our 8.5 acres there was 13 acres of woods north of us and 8 acres of organic open fields and scrub south. The open field is now GMO corn and the 13 acres a boarding stable. Sigh. I've learned to develop tunnel vision....

Been feeling boxed all this week as we have been dealing with pigs. I'd hoped to have this done by October 10th. Still more pig to do, and it's still raining....

I've got to get the pasture pen for the broilers down tomorrow and repaired in the 2 day window of no rain and warmish temps on Sunday and Monday.

I'd hoped to resume posting but my husband is making a trip to Florida on Tuesday for 10 days, so, nope, not happening yet...

The ocean is nice but never called to me like it does my husband. He will make trips to the coast in the winter, just to make sure it's there...

Still boxed in until Thanksgiving...
