There is a human tendency to abuse "free" stuff so on that alone the current health care system is not such a good idea just like any "all you can eat" dinner probably isn't going to be very good for one's weight/health.
There is more incentive for individuals to be mindful in prevention when it will hurt them in the wallet than not.

overeating and getting health care are not the same old man. Play a pick up game of basketball and you end up getting hurt, this can ruin your life if not on health insurance.
Sorry I didn't put in enough context in the first place. The part that really bug me in these Gov. Health insurance and this podcast also mentioned it is that no precondition and flat rate type of setup. I am against that setup not against offering health insurance as a real insurance that the person's health condition do affect the premiums.
