This is what I call game-consciousness rules:
The one, and only, rule is
YOU CANNOT WIN
So, you want to grow, do you?
Have at it. Keep acquiring more and more knowledge and skills. Keep staying ahead of the game. By all means, fill up your banks with fiat notes and buy up acres upon acres of land. Be the most popular man on the face of the earth. Round up all the pretty ladies for yourself. Build wonders for the world to amuse themselves with.
Have the whole world at your beck and call. Go ahead, be my guest.
Hold on...
Oh, wow, you did it?! I was just kidding with you, but you actually took it as a challenge and you went off and owned it, like the stud that you are! Wow, good for you, son! Good for you...
Keep me informed on how this all goes from now on, will ya, man? Thanks.
Na-na, na-na, boo-boo... you're still stuck in doo-doo!
Oh snap!
You still haven't won, have you? The game still goes on, doesn't it? Satan always has the last laugh, doesn't he, or does not he?
Yeah...I thought so.
What happened, I mean, you have the whole world at your finger-tips, right?
You might be at the top of the pyramid...and, yes, poop rolls down hill,
BUT
so too do desperate men try everything within their power to climb up to you and cut off your head - that's the game, ya see?
Heavy lies the crown...
that sits atop the head of the man that has earned his position at the top. There's no end to the fear of loss. In fact, it grows exponentially as more and more things are acquired, especially as the toll of time becomes apparent with age.
More people gun for the man who holds the most guns. That's the way it was, the way it is, and the way that it'll always be.
Is there an escape from this madness?
Yerp.
That's to say, "yes, yes there is an escape from this silly ego game."
Mind elaborating a bit?
Sure, why not?
Here's how you do it: you exit the game.
Expound?
Nah. You don't really want to hear it. This is only another game to you.
It isn't?
Is that a question?
Oh, hell, why not?
Game-consciousness is a state of mind that has one always fleeing from fear by chasing after desires, which are each false hopes, every one of them empty of the cure to the fear. The constant state of fleeing/ searching is its lifeblood. Without it, the gamer dies.
What's left behind is a precious diamond that you'll come to remember as yourself.
Thanks for playing :)
This isn't a game, son.
You're making it into a game, but this game is neither helping you, nor anyone else that interacts with you. It isn't necessary to always be making impressions and putting on shows for others. It's neither necessary nor healthy to do so.
Even your organism is stressed to high-heaven by your relentless striving and straining for "more" and "better".
Dude, you're more than good enough, RIGHT NOW!!!
No, I'm not convinced that you get this just yet. I mean, like,
RIGHT.NOW.
I dig
Dude, you're so still playing the game, but that's OK. You'll wake up when you're ready.
Oh, I almost forgot, there's one more rule:
Stay shallow. As in, don't expand your consciousness too much or you'll expose the game for what it is - silly nonsense.
