This is the only way to live!! I'm so glad you survived the ordeal ...sometimes being stubborn is a positive!! As a teacher, I would take the majority of the summers and go camping with my boys. They are now 20 and 22 and have such fond memories of the connections we made 'out there'. As adults, my husband and I decided to sell everything, buy a trailer and head out. After a couple of years, we sold that too and headed to Mexico...our lives contained in 2 backpacks and a suitcase. Life is truly about the connections we have with our family and friends, and not the possessions we have; the stuff 'they' say we should buy (whoever 'they' is!) Thanks again, I loved reading this.
