Under capitalism, buying a politician is simply another expense item on the balance sheet.
An investment in a US politician has some of the best ROI (return on investment) on this planet.
For larger multi-national corporations, buying our government is a necessary part of their marketing plan. They've realized it is easier and cheaper to buy a government, than to actually compete on the open market.
IMHO, if there were a way to remove the financial incentive for to buy our government, that would be a great first step.
I'm not ready to throw out the Constitution and everything about the government...I just want to end our every expanding US Empire and slavery (aka Mass Incarceration in USA).
