Just For Today...And An Attitude of Gratitude...

I want to share this card - because it comes from the old days - a way to sanity and self-esteem and a balanced way of life and happiness, as a bi-product of right-living and I aspire to point up my spiritual practice to equal the attitude on this card.

First of all, stay in the day. Do not worry about tomorrow or regret yesterday, just** be here now.**

I can choose to be happy today.in the face of everything that seems to be going on in this world but that which is only going on online. Nothing is actually going on, right in front of me, that is bad. And I remember a long time ago, a spiritual advisor of mine told me that nothing is actually truly happening unless it is happening right now. Now of course, this is not true in every sense, as for example, I have a good friend who lives outside of Ashville, NC and her whole life is upside down now - but in the same sense, mine is not. Do I throw my whole life upside down because her life is upside down? Or do I try to strengthen myself so that should a disaster befall me, I am strong? And in the meantime, be happy? And if I have to do something that is hard - like shovel rocks - can I simply do it? I have done things like this in my life and I have prayed my way through them...so I can do it again if I must. Can I be happy and grateful while I do the hard thing? That would be the next level that I am striving for...

Here's a good one - can I adjust myself to "what is"? And be happy? This is not something we are really taught these days - the more materialistic we become in this society they more it's about how do I get mine? But the true happiness comes from surrendering to things as they are and trying to be helpful to others.

Make a daily goal of strengthening my mind through reading something that requires effort - maybe using a dictionary to look up the words - not just scrolling away on instragram, which honestly, feels very evil to me. I am on there to see the horses in my Great Escape Mustang Rescue and a few of the horses that I have worked on that get adopted out, but beyond that -I don't need to be scrolling away and weakening my mind...

Here's a challenge - to exercise my soul in 3 ways: 1. Do someone a good turn anonymously 2. Do 2 things I don't want to do 3. Not showing that my feelings are hurt even if they are.

Here's some old-time advice: Be agreeable. Dress as well as I can. Act courteously, do not criticize anyone, don't impose or regulate anyone but myself!

Give up "hurry and indecision"

Take a quiet half an hour - NO ELECTRONICS - just be alone to meditate, contemplate, and pray.

Be unafraid - to be vulnerable and give freely - the more you give, the more you get.

So, I feel that this book described below will help me to get into the mind-frame of this card...

I can see the things from a negative light or a positive optimistic one and this, coming from someone who's light reading is the author, Kerth Barker... who's book I am also featuring in this post.

Psychic Ability for Prosperity and Self Defense by Kerth Barker.

It's actually a book by Kerth that is recommending an attitude of Gratitude right now - and it gave me pause today - one of the exercises:

Lesson Eight:

The heart’s memory eliminates the bad and magnifies the good. What matters in life is not what happened to you but what you remember and how you remember it.
Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Attunement with the Divine
Gratitude for life is the way to attune yourself to the Divine
Source. However, disharmony with the Divine Source distorts all psychic abilities.

Clairvoyance means clear seeing. When you view the world with an attitude of ingratitude, then you aren’t seeing the world clearly. When you view the world with an attitude of gratitude, then you are seeing the world clearly,...

This is why performing training exercises which reinforce your feelings of gratitude are essential to psychic training.
It’s true that the world is sometimes hard and that some events in this world are disturbing. It’s true that there is a presence of supernatural fear in this world. But to become a skilled psychic, you must take the attitude that everything in this world is either a gift to you from the Divine Source or a potential lesson to be learned.

Training Practice
The purpose of this drill is to help you to achieve this proper attitude. You should perform this at least once, and preferably more than once. But no more than one time per day.

Begin a journal; in it you will describe in detail your memory of happy episodes from your life.

?????

This will be of events that have taken place in the past. They will only be happy events, and the further in your past that you go, the better. Think of this as type of personal autobiography.

But you shouldn’t try to create this in any type of sequential order. Episodic memory is a memory of an event which you have experienced in the real world. In this drill you will recall an episodic memory of a happy event for which you feel grateful. You will then systematically write down everything you can easily recall about that event.

In writing in this journal, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What was the time or date of this episodic memory?
  2. What did I see, touch, taste, smell and hear?
  3. What were my physical actions in this episode?
  4. What is my recall of other people in this episode?
  5. What made this event a happy one?
  6. What makes me feel grateful for this experience?

Example:

I recall a time I went on a picnic with my family. It was during spring break in 1967. We went to Forest Park in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. We got there about one o’clock in the afternoon and left a couple of hours later. It was a fun experience and everyone was happy. My father and mother were there as well as a friend of mine from the neighborhood. We sat at the Pavilion and ate our lunch. I remember the smell of fried chicken. I recall the taste of coleslaw. I recall my mother’s laughter. I recall the feeling of warmth from the sun and how I felt cooler in the shade.

I remember the smell of pipe tobacco when a man sitting nearby smoked after we ate. I remember the green of the grass on the hill. I recall seeing children playing in the fountain. My friend and I threw a frisbee back and forth. I recall the feeling of running as we did this. I recall a playful dog running around trying to catch the frisbee. I remember the sound of his barking. I feel grateful for this memory because it was a time when I was with people I cared about and I felt happy. I thank God that I’ve been allowed to have such happy experiences in my life.

Kerth Barker, the author of this exercise, is the survivor of MK Ultra and Satanic Ritual Abuse and if he can do this, then I certainly can. I am have recovered from hap-hazard physical and mental child abuse, not what he endured.

I was amazed that I literally could not recall a happy memory.

The only one that resembled a happy memory happened in 2011, and even that one was tinged with sorrow and regret. I was shooting for childhood. This is how my brain is wired. And I am pretty sure that this is what the Dark Occult Luciferian's want - they sure as shit don't want me to be happy because then I would be totally in my power because I would feel God's presence in my life and then I would not be controllable.

So, I am going to do this exercise on a regular basis and also work at living as is described in this card.

And have fun with my kitten - who is now about 6 months old- an unexpected gift from God...
