What is our biggest challenge today?

in #free7 years ago

As I see it, from the hundreds of people I engage every day, our biggest challenge is ambivalence.

The vast majority of Americans are clueless to what is coming. We are too distracted by our own personal self-interest. We are not aware of the pending danger. We do not even see that we are enslaved and at the mercy of the State.

We believe that we are free. Are we? Let's try to look around and see.

When we go through the airport to catch a flight, are we "innocent until proven guilty?" No. Every one of us is searched or scanned to prove that we don't have a weapon. The assumption is that we do, and we must validate that we don't. It is no different than a public official asking, "Do you have a weapon on you?" We must then prove that we do not.

So, what if we refuse to answer? What if we just attempt to pass through the security check-point without complying to the question? Try it sometime and see what happens. TSA officials will go crazy. You will be stopped, a group of agents will swarm in like flies on a Saturday afternoon picnic. You will go to jail. You will not pass "GO!" You will not collect two-hundred dollars. You will be talked about on the evening news. You will end up in incarcerated. You are not free when it comes to flying on a plane.

What about your pay for work? Are you free there? When you clock in, or start your day if you are salaried, do you know that you will be paid everything that you exchange your time for money? Or will a portion of it be confiscated by the State? How much out of every dollar? Ten percent? Twenty percent? A quarter of it? Half? What if you tell your employer that you do not want any of it withheld from your pay?

If you fill out the W-4 form and claim "Exempt", you may be fine for a few months. But eventually you will be contacted by the IRS and asked to validate that you are not required to withhold federal taxes. If you cannot prove that you are a privileged individual that did not pay any tax the prior year, you will be required to have money withheld from your pay. The IRS won't deal with you to correct this. They will go to your employer and threaten the employer with a penalty if such is not withheld. And guess what the employer will do? That's right. Withhold money that is yours from you.

Are you free? Hardly. You see. Others control your property.

But you say, "But I am self-employed." I deduct my expenses. I take advantage of the tax laws and do not pay any more than I have to." Okay. Fine. But let me ask you this. Is your labor not your own? Is it not a sacred possession? Yet you must work a certain way in order to keep your money. And you are told what activities you must accomplish in order to not have certain money taken from you. You must spend your money in a certain way so that you do not lose that part of it without some benefit to you.

But doesn't that mean that the civil government makes you do a certain dance? Are you not being told what to do and how to behave so that you can spend your money, that you earned, in a specific and required manner, before you lose that money, that property to the civil government anyway? Yep. That is the way it is. So you too are a slave to the State. And maybe you didn't even realize it is so to this moment. Or maybe you still don't see it. You say, "I'm not a slave. I choose to use the system." Spoken like a true slave.

"The moment that it enters into society that property is not as sacred as the Laws of God, and that there is not a force of law or public justice to protect it, tyranny and anarchy ensues." - John Adams

You know what is ironic about this quote by our Second U.S. President under the Constitution? This man was responsible for the passage of the Alien and Sedition Act. This Act made it a crime to speak out against the U.S. government. Many patriots believe that Adams was a bad President because of this Act. Yet he clearly warned us that tyranny would occur as soon as the People of America--society--got to the place where our minds did not hold on to high and precious opinions.

What we possess must be as valuable to us as the belief that we love our neighbor as ourselves. That we not kill our fellow humans to expand our personal self-interest. That we not take something that belongs to another person. That we maintain marriage as a sacred and inviolable relationship for a lifetime. That we not desire and wish to obtain another person's property, acting as if it is our own. That we always honor our parents. That our word is our bond. That we love the Laws of God, or at least respect the Laws of Nature. And that we love the divine Being, or the "Infinite Intelligence".

And our civil government must secure for us our possessions as devotedly as we do our attitudes of conscience we just described. The laws must be such that these freedoms to protect our assets are completely protected. "The power of the sword" must maintain our rights to what we own unabated. The courts must ALWAYS rule in our favor. The police and military must see that no thug gets what is ours. Everyone must work to see that there is no plunder. This must be universal in practice. It must be ubiquitous in application.

Is it? No. Try to fight the IRS and see what happens. Do you know that under Title 5 of the U.S. Code there is a law called the Imprest Fund Account that was passed by the U.S. Congress in the early 2000s. You can see it for yourself at Title 5, U.S.C. Sec. 4502. The Internal Revenue Manual explains it further at http://www.irs.gov/irm/part1/irm_01-032-008.html#d0e33. Check it out.

It gives "undisclosed cash awards" to federal judges as employees for prosecuting and convicting people who challenge the IRS when they say that person owes more taxes, and that person challenges the IRS in court. These judges get paid up to $25,000 per case to side with the IRS. This would be a bribe-and-kickback-scheme if a private citizen did the same thing. Yet it is the law and these judges are paid a lot more money than most of us good, regular Americans get paid every year to find that person liable for the tax he or she believes isn't owed. And that amount they get more than we do is before the taxes are withheld!

That is not just. That is a crime. But in this case the crime is actually the law.

"Woe to those who make wrong right and right wrong. Who turn good for evil, and evil for good."

No wonder "tyranny and anarchy ensue."

We are a woeful society today. And the fruit of the tree is either tyranny or anarchy. The founding generation believed that both of these end games were bad. They considered such fruit to be evil. And they fought against the oppressors with a commitment of their lives and fortunes, knowing that if they failed, a rope would be placed around their necks to kill them.

Our biggest challenge today is that most Americans do not even begin to understand what is going on. This brief note is just touching the tip of this iceberg.

The question that I have for you, reader, is this: Do you get it? Do you catch even a glimpse of what is being suggested here? Are you awake enough to even see a small piece of this vitally important issue?

Do you wish to be free? Financially and politically? Or are you satisfied being a slave? Will you continue to allow the present course of action to continue to trend toward oppression? Will you submit to your own pending slavery? Or will you begin to unravel the peels of the onion of Despotism that are pressing down upon you, and all of us, more and more every day?

Are you awakening? Are you gaining understanding? Do you see what has happened to us over the recent years as the water has been getting warmer and warmer? Like the frog in the pot, are you being cooked slowly to your own end, not realizing what is happening? Will you awaken in time? And do you have any clue how to get out of this increasingly boiling pot?

There is a remedy. But unless enough good people wake up and realize that something is drastically wrong soon enough (and it is probably already too late--but we must respond as if we still have time) to turn the tide and rectify the situation with a true remedy, not only will we perish, but we may end up with circumstances which make the Dark Ages seem like a glimpse of heaven.

Our biggest challenge today is that most of us have no clue and are spiritually and mentally overweight, unaware, and content to go on as if nothing is wrong. In fact, we think everything is fine and dandy. Or said another way, we are fat, dumb, and happy with the way things are. And in this condition, we have no hope of saving ourselves.

Wake up, American. You were born for a more noble and devoted cause than that. You were born a rebel and a fighter. That is, if you are a true, blue American. As Samuel Adams said, we repeat here:

"If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Your call, countryman. Your call.
