before a bike, how it looks

in #framebuilding7 years ago

Hello again everybody,

now I am going to show you how a steel frame is made and how it looks in my workshop.

All those tubes and small components are the main ingredients of a steel frame. Each time is the same ceremony.
Who needs a bike made by Lacremò usually contacts me and we start to mail or chat.

Drawings are the guides to follow to know how to move. I make almost all the drawings thanks Bikecad a powerful software.

Often I have friends that help me.

Step by step things are growing and getting better.

Silver brazing is in the air. This kind of brazing is with lower temperatures and usually is made to join small parts with thin elements.

I will show you as soon as possible the pictures of the assembled bike.

If you like my works you could follow me here the fb fan page or her on istagram account and maybe ask for a frame or even a bike.

All the best,

G.

hey lacremo-it, that is a cool post. I am a BMX bike race... or was til I broke my arm a couple months ago. I think it's neat to see how you are designing bikes and building them. If you ever build anything for BMX riders, let me know, I'd love to see some different designs out there on the track. Take care man!

Great you liked it @thewriterofiz I hope you are going to get better as soon as possible. At the moment I am making just lugged or fillet brazed bike frame. BMX deserve TIG that I will use in the next future... Anyway great you are here.
