Aujourd'hui est un grand jour dans l'industrie des technologies décentralisées [Blockchain]. Steemit Inc. développeur principal du protocole Steem introduit un standard de création de jeton numérique sur Steem: On les appelle les Smart Media Tokens (SMT).
Récemment annoncé dans le livre blue et très attendu par la communauté, le "Smart Media Token" (SMT) est une proposition de déployer sur la Blockchain Steem, un protocol qui permettra à toute entreprise/organisation ou communauté d'émettre leur propre jeton afin d'aligner les intérêts de leurs producteurs de contenus avec ceux de leurs lecteurs. Ça signifie aussi que tout site, forum, blogue peut maintenant être monétiser grâce au protocole Steem. Si cela fonctionne ça va être un game changer dans l'industrie. Son équivalent dans d'autres protocole serait le standard ERC-20 chez Ethereum ou Counterparty chez Bitcoin.
