RE: So I went to FOSDEM

So I am looking forward to carrying on reading. By the way, you are inviting me to vote your comment... what about you?

Just learnt, you are a Linux fan. What kind of Linux you would advise to use for a layman like me?

Sort:

Firstly, upvoting comments is advice in my reply signature that I have as default, nobody has to follow the advice it's just a lot of people think you only vote posts which isn't the case.
(I used a different account for this reply so you'll see there's no signature)

Secondly, I'd say Ubuntu for novices. My daily usage is Fedora but you have to jump through a couple of hoops to get that just how you like it. Once you have a bit of knowledge you can try Manjaro which is a more user-friendly intro to Arch Linux. If you're really into living on the edge and can take the appalling attitude of the community use Arch Linux but you really need to be a Power user for that.

I think most people could happily use Ubuntu. It may be easier to install than Windows
