Meteor is going to destroy Tilted Towers?!

Epic Games has yet to address the meteor or confirm any of the speculation, but many players are putting clues together and suspect that it could be heading towards Tilted Towers. The meteor has now been in the sky for several weeks and new clues have continued to emerge after recent updates, and the ‘space’ theme for season 3 has lead many players to expect a meteor strike to happen when the season comes to an end.

The rumours of a meteor hitting Tilted Towers started last week when players started to spot what looked like a comet in the sky. Many people have claimed that the meteor has gradually got bigger and after looking at it from various angles, it seems to be heading straight towards the controversial Tilted Towers location. This was followed up by the discovery of telescopes near Fatal Fields and Snobby Shores a few days ago after the most recent update, and they are pointing towards the meteor. Players have also noted that some of the main items in the season 3 Battle Pass are space related, with astronaut outfits being a main focus, which could link with the idea of the meteor strike ending season 3. Since Tilted Towers was added to the map during the February update, players have been divided on whether it was good addition, and it is always swarming with people at the start of each game. The meteor could be a way for Epic Games to remove it from the map, whether that would be permanently or as a temporary feature.

When will the meteor hit Tilted Towers?
Some fans also believe that the new controller vibrations that were added to the game during the recent update could also be connected to the impending meteor strike. Players on Reddit and Twitter have claimed that the vibrations are morse code and spell out ‘SOS 5D 418’, with 5D being the map location of Tilted Towers, and 418 potentially meaning April 18th. However, if the meteor is going to strike at the conclusion of season 3, then it is more likely to hit nearer to Monday 30th April, which is when the current Battle Pass is set to end.
