As foolish as it seems you decided to stay and fight the woken carvings of different animals. They could not be more than half a foot in size as best. Could their fangs and claws even pierce your skin? They are just made out of old dusty wood. Surely you will be able to stomp them to death?
The lion leads the pack of animals and makes a charge at you. Along the way, it is roaring and showing its tiny teeth. Once it gets into the range you kick it like a football and send it right into the wall. It shatters into hundreds of small pieces of wood.
Before you could react to another oncoming animal you feel the teeth of a fox digging into the heel of your foot. You let out a scream of pain before trying to stomp it to death. The fox is however quicker than you are. Every attempt to step on it is led by it barely moving out of the way.
After a few moments, you are swarmed with a dozen wood carvings of different animals. It is all over once they get you onto the ground. The details are so gruesome they shall not be repeated.
A few days later the car rental agency reported the car you rented as stolen. That case was never solved. To this day there is a picture of you in the small town's police station wanted for questioning of the missing car presumed to be stolen.
