Ange has no Plan B, Blah Blah Blah. Ange has to change in order to succeed in the Premiership blah blah blah . The snobbery of it all thinking that Ange Postecoglou is a mad bastard for trying something different in the Premiership. When Spurs are good they are very very good. When Spurs are bad we are still good this season. The losses against Newcastle and Leicester , we were very good. We were not bad against Arsenal and they got one in from a set piece and the game against Brighton was a blip and a lack of concentration and the international break looming we took the foot off the pedal. But overall Spurs have been fantastic this season. Hammered Man United, Hammered Everton, Hammered West Ham. Goals flying in. Somebody told me that we have more points this season than we did this time last season after the same amount of games. Last season Spurs went unbeaten in their first ten games but there were a few draws in these games which is why we have more points this time around. We have scored more goals than last season , conceded less goals than last season and virtually all the gauges and metrics such as XG and the new fangled one are , wait for it , better than last season.
The loss to Brighton was a big blow and had Spurs supporters questioning life under Ange and it was a genuinely terrible week with internationals (We always lose before an international break). But the dismantling of West Ham and the way we did was impressive. Yes West Ham are in no great shakes but they always seem to turn up against us.
Ange was not happy going in at half time and he told Sarr to get warmed up . He needed more legs in midfield, It was 1-1 at the time. He took Maddison off which was a major statement. First of all Maddison was not playing badly but Ange wanted more legs in behind Kulusevski as West Ham were flooding the midfield. The change was effective for the start of the second half and Spurs scored 2 goals in quick succession all from Sarr intercepting the ball in midfield. Also Maddison and Kulusevski playing the number 10 role lately, Kulusevski is playing out of his skin. He is gone up a level. On another day it would be him coming off but he is playing so well and running so hard that Maddison is now the second choice number 10. He has been demoted. Some may call Maddison a luxury player as he is the player that has that killer flick but Kulusevski is bringing more to the party and therefore Maddison was sacrificed. Personally I was glad to see Maddison coming off. I was never a fan. Don't like that darts celebration and I didn't like his head going down against Brighton. Ange wanted runners so this was a message in my opinion. I don't normally do game reviews here but I must say Solanke has played extremely well in the last few games for us. Granted he may not be bagging goals but his hold up play has been excellent.
After the West Ham game we are 6 wins from 7 . We play AZ Alkmaar on Thursday which will be our first test in Europe I imagine and a reunion with a one Troy Parrott who is bound to come back to haunt us. I see the young lads getting a game here . The likes of Bergval and Gray and hopefully Mikey Moore will start. Then Sunday we go to Palace at 2pm. Now Palace still have not won a game in the Premiership so I am always wary about Doctor Tottenham in these situations. But I expect a win here. And a convincing one. With Man City looming in the cup and then Villa and Galatasaray after them , it is fair to say we are going into a strong run of fixtures. I look forward to the days Spurs play and thankfully it will be twice a week for the foreseeable future.

And in other news.

Arsenal have become a laughing stock for having 3 players sent off in their last 8 games , hanging on for the draw in all games and losing points. Their fans have become insufferable and are blaming everybody but themselves for stupid sending off. Rice was a second yellow. Trossard's was a second yellow. By the way it was a yellow card they got and they happened to be on a yellow. Suck it up. You know the rules. Just stop kicking the bloody ball away to waste time. Saliba was sent off because the Bournemouth player was through on goal. It doesn't matter how high up the field you are. It happened to our Centre Half Radu Dragusin two weeks ago. You don't hear me complaining. The problem with Arsenal and Arteta is they have spent the most money out of any Premiership team including Man City and the pressure is on them now to deliver so the dark arts are coming in. The siege mentality but the whole league is laughing at them and it is music to my ears. They are the most hated club in England right now because of their whining and bitching and it is thoroughly deserved. And to top it all off they are terrible to watch and they will be nowhere near winning the league this year. They are scraping over the line week by week but they have Chelsea and Liverpool soon so I have a feeling there will be an implosion pretty soon and I as well as every football fan in the world will be looking forward to seeing it. Terrible club!

Any sign of @deniskj

I love that United are backing Ten Haag because this means the boat will just about stay afloat for another season of mediocracy. Ten Haag has this unique ability to pull results out of the bag when he is under the most pressure. Playing Maguire and Johnny Evans (Man of the Match) against Villa gave him the time to get through the international window. The video of all the Ineos board members up there watching down was a show of force that the board were watching. A win against Brentford has steadied the ship and they may win again next week but then they will take the foot off the pedal. Rashford and Fernandez will not track back and we will be back to square one. Since then they have shown Alex Ferguson the door and took away his £2 million per year salary. As Rio Ferdinand said "If they can get rid of Sir Alex then NOBODY IS SAFE!! 🤣 Spurs beat United 3 nil and it should have been 6 or 7. Ten Haag In!! I am so interested in the decline of Man United that I have begun listening to the United We Stand podcast which is giving me considerable pleasure so much so that I consider it a kink of mine! Some people are into feet, some people are into PVC, bondage. I'm into listening to podcasts of United inevitable decline. I feel like Eric Cartman licking the tears from Scott Tettingale in the Southpark chilli contest when he finds out he is eating his parents. The joys.
