Arsenal midfielder Mohamed El Neni has rejected an offer from Leicester City to join the squad during the summer transfer market despite the approval of the London club.
The Sun newspaper published a report showing that Arsenal had accepted a £ 10 million bid for the 25-year-old and allowed him to talk to the foxes to join them.
He has only played for Arsenal in 8 out of 14 games in the Premier League last season.
The British newspaper said the Egyptian international had rejected the offer of Leicester City, and indicated that he was very happy to continue with his team, even if not participate as often as it should.
He joined Arsenal during the winter of 2016 from Basel for £ 5 million.
The Sun report suggested that Arsenal was trying to sell Allen, with midfield congestion, since he currently owns Francis Cocklyn, Aaron Ramsey, Granette Jacka and Alex Oxald Chamberlain, all of whom can play in the same Egyptian international center.
The report also said Jack Wilsher is still in Arsenal's account, but he may also leave with Nene.
Leicester will return to try to persuade Nene to join him in January, the report said, leaving the player with the club for three years.
He played for Arsenal in 40 games in all competitions, scoring a goal and making 3 more goals.
