Liverpool put an end to Manchester City's 284 days unbeaten run in what could be one of the greatest games in football history

Manchester City's unbeaten 30 match run has been brought to a halt by Liverpool's tremendous performance at Anfield, which ended with a 4-3 scoreline.

While City lost, Liverpool still faced many challenges and had plenty of worrying moments. Ultimately, though, Liverpool had weakened their opponents 3 goals in just under 10 minutes when Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah scored in the 59th, 61st and 68th minutes. Guardiola can now think of the moment at 1-1, when Nicolás Otamendi headed against the crossbar from a corner and wonder where it all went wrong.

With Champion's League starting in a month, this could serve as a reminder to all European clubs that no team is invincible, although they might have to throw in a superb performance to beat some of Europe's giants like Barcelona, Paris Saint Germane and Manchester City. City might have lost, but they are still undoubtedly the best English club this season.

They say a 3 goal lead is the most dangerous one, and today's match backed this statement. With a 4-1 scoreline for Liverpool, the match still had 20 minutes to go. Pep's team claimed 2 goals in them, yet in the end, it was a a fair victory for Klopp's side.

This match was absolutely brilliant, I enjoyed every minute of it. Klopp already showed his potential to beat the Pep-style when he was in Dortmund and Pep at Bayern so I'm glad for him he actually did it. I'm surprised how well Oxlade-Chamberlain fits into the team. With performances like this they should be able to finish second this season.

Oxlade was really amazing, but Robertson was on another level. His pressing was just so good. I just hope Liverpool can finish the season at 2nd place!
