Okay guys, in my introduction message I said I was a football fan and I'll be dropping posts related to this one from now on.
Okay, the English Premier League resumed after the interesting International Break. The first match of the day saw Manchester City lock horns with Liverpool in a heated anticipated match. City ran out 5-0 winners after a red card to Sadio Mane. Goals from Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Sane ensured City cruised to a comfortable victory. And yeah to Twitter fans, Alex "The Ox" Chamberlain had a day to forget on time.
The next match saw Bournemouth visit Arsenal FC at the Emirates Stadium.Arsenal won 3 goals to nil. Danny Welbeck scored twice as Arsenal returned to winning ways and condemned winless Bournemouth to a fourth successive defeat.
The Gunners came into the game on the back of two costly defeats by Stoke and Liverpool, but made the perfect start when Welbeck headed them in front after six minutes.
Record signing Alexandre Lacazette doubled the lead on 27 minutes, bending a shot past Asmir Begovic from the edge of the area.
Welbeck than added a third just after half-time, scoring from a tight angle into Begovic's far corner.
Another important match saw Chelsea lock horns with Leciester City. Chelsea ran out 2-1 winners. Goals from Morata and former Leicester City Player, Kante, ensured that Vardy's penalty goal was just a mere consolation. N'Golo Kante says he did not celebrate after scoring against Leicester out of respect for his former side, as Chelsea beat the Foxes to climb into the top three.
Lastly, Manchester United were to take home just one point after a determined performance by Stoke City. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored twice as Stoke ended Manchester United's 100% start to the new Premier League season.
Summer signing Choupo-Moting put Stoke ahead in the 43rd minute, powerfully finishing a fine team move for his first goal for the club.
That was the first goal United had conceded in 535 minutes of league football, a run stretching back to last season, but Jose Mourinho's side equalised less than three minutes later.Paul Pogba headed towards goal from a corner and the ball was inadvertently directed into the net off the back of Marcus Rashford's head.
Romelu Lukaku put the Red Devils in front shortly after the break but Choupo-Moting levelled in the 63rd minute, heading in Xherdan Shaqiri's corner at the back post.
