As a Spurs supporter, I'd love to see Arsene Wenger handed a lifetime contract at this point. In the spirit of football, I will outline what I would do if I was the owner of Arsenal.
Wenger has to go. He is too proud to step down, and as such must be sacked. Either tell him and the fans now so he can have a farewell tour and send off, or give him his marching orders and let one of the legends clamoring for his job come in and fail for the rest of the season. Henry and Viera are not the answer at this point in their respective careers. They could do a job as interim and maybe instill a bit of respect for the shirt. I'd pick Viera. The players may idolize Henry, but Viera would demand respect.
Most of the players need to go as well. I'd start on the weekend. Put a majority youth team out there, they won't do worse than the senior players have the last week. The kids would at least wear their club's shirt with pride and fight, something this group of Arsenal players have never done. In the summer, a near whole sale clean out. Mustafi should not see the pitch at the Emirates ever again unless it is in an away shirt. Cech should retire; he was once a great player but no more. The new manager will have to decide which playmaker they prefer in Ozil and Mkhi, there is just not enough defensive work rate to play them both. Ozil's astronomical wages will be tough to part with.
Priority shopping list: two center backs, a goalkeeper and a defensive midfielder. At least one of the aforementioned buys needs to be a true leader that will lift his team up when they need it. If there is still budget: right back and a direct winger.
Who should replace Wenger? I don't think Low is the answer. He has done a great job with an extremely talented German side. I don't know that he can save this rotting and sinking ship. Leonardo Jardim is a decent shout. In a club that can hold on to his players, it would be interesting to see what he could build and accomplish; still not first choice. Mountains need to be moved to bring in Diego Simeone. He may not play the attractive football that was once on show, but he will bring pride, desire, hunger (everything this side lacks), and will accept nothing less.
Leave your thoughts on the situation with Woolwich below.
I'd like to see Jardim or Enrique come in.
Yeah, Luis Enrique would be a good fit as well.
There is rise and decline in every aspect , it depends how we tackle it
