His Michigan football team has not yet published a roster on its website. I haven't checked every team, but I would be shocked if there's another program in the country that hasn't done so. The Wolverines' stance is so ridiculous that nj.com filed a public-record request to the university for a roster. That's the kind of journalism you do when you're trying to track spending or see contracts, not find out how many wide receivers a team has.

The minor detail of which walk-ons will play on the scout team doesn't stop Michigan's first opponent (Florida) from listing its roster. It didn't stop UF from updating its roster during the 2015 season when Chamberlain High product Neil MacInnes joined the team as a kicker.
But the Gators are not Michigan, and Jim McElwain is not Jim Harbaugh.
The Gators played Michigan (and lost, soundly, 41-7) a year and a half ago. I'm guessing UF recruited many of the players the Wolverines have added since then. If not, the Gators could have followed them with another Harbaugh antic - the Signing with the Stars extravaganza.
