Czechia is a country of meat-eaters. And now vegan industry is developing , but frankly speaking, this country is meat paradise.
If you are in Czechia taste "Vepřo knedlo zelo" - pork with zauerkraut and knedlik. Knedlíky are something in the middle between bread and dumplings.

"Vepřo knedlo zelo" - it's czech classic! And it is worth tasting. Pork meat is more popular in Czechia than beef or mutton. Czech people like and can cook pork. Order vepře in any restarece and it will be delicious.

But if you are beef fan - try " Pražská hovězí pečeně", roast beef stuffed with bacon, ham, cheese, onion and eggs. It is cooked long and slow, it can take your time but it's so be tender and delicious.

It's necessary to taste "Vepřová žebírka" or "Vepřová žebra" or if you don't eat pork "Hovězí žebra s pivem a zeleninou", beef ribs. In different places ribs can be different, traditional or old recepy, cooked in honey or in special sauce. The main thing is -it will be DELICIOUS!

In the Czech Republic fish is not so popular, but especially during Christmas time you can find kapr(carp) it is the traditional
Christmas meal, usually baked and served with nuts. In restraunt "Kampa Park", it's near The Charles Bridge by The Vltava River you can find fish, traitional Czech carp and carp soup. And trout that is stuffed with cheese and ham, and grilled. It's something incredibly delicious.
Chicken is not very popular, but if you like chicken and there chicken on the menu you'll never regret about your order.
