I'm with my other self when I'm cooking.
Yesterday was my cousin's birthday, and she requested that I prepare Pancit for her. So I rushed to her house since GCQ (General Community Quarantine) is already in effect in Manila, and it will soon be replaced by ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine), which is more stringent than any other proposed community quarantine.
She asked me what to buy for the Pansit, so I told her to buy the following ingredients needed:
1pack Pancit Bihon
500g Canton
2pcs carrots
1/4kg baguio beans
3/4kg cabbage
1/2kg pork strips
1pack chicken balls
1pack kikiam
4 sachet oyster sauce
2pcs knor cubes
1pouch soy sauce
ground pepper
3pcs onions
1 clove garlic
When I cooked, I made it my own version since I don't normally watch videos online for local dishes, maybe I will if it's for a different food from another countries.
I'm not sure whether there's a standard way to cooked Pancit. However, even if there is, I will not adhere to it. Even so, it's better to do it your way of cooking.😉😊
Here's the summary on how I cooked My Pancit:
I began by chopping the vegetables. Blanch the cabbage, carrots, and snap peas. Blanching is a cooking procedure that keeps vegetables' texture and color.Prepare a big bowl enough to occupy all of the vegetables. Then set aside.
Sauté the pork, chicken balls & kikiam separately. Cooked well first the pork until its brown. And set aside again all of them.
Saute onion and garlic, wait until its cooked.
Next pour 1liter water or it depends on you it can be less water, coz you can add again if needed. Let it boil, then put the pork cubes, oyster sauce and soy sauce, then let it simmer for a few minutes then add the (noodles) called bihon and canton. Obviously, the noodles will sip the water, so don't forget to tossed it. Finish by adding all the ingredients you set aside then toss all the ingredients so that taste will be distributed evenly. Don't forget to add a pinch of ground pepper on top.
And that's it! Ready to serve.
Try it and discover your own version of cooking Pancit. Hope you learn something from my recipe. Hehe, sorry if it is not detailed. 😉
I'm not used to write my procedure on how I cooked my own recipe.
Til' next time. Thank you for dropping by.

Thankyou @tante.emmas.weed
😍 wow. Looks really delicious! My mom cooks the best pancit (we call that bam-e) and I'm still learning from her. Yours remind me of the way she cooked too. Hehe. We're actually preparing the same ingredients right now since it's the birthday of my uncle. 👏 Your papa Phe is one lucky guy!😊
Hehehe.. thankyou po.. minsan nakakatamad lang mag chop ng mga gulay 😂 kaya imbes na pansit ang lulutuin spaghetti nalang kasi mas madaling lutuin 😅.
