How to make delicious smoothies and what is their use?

Today it is fashionable to drink smoothies, wear a sweater with deer and work in a startup. In the yard of March and I propose a spring variant - to drink smoothies, to wear hipst-glasses and to register for yoga. You can choose your own glasses and yoga, and I'll tell you how to make tasty smoothies and what is their use.

The main reason why I drink them is that it is delicious! Well and as a bonus - it is useful.

My love for smoothies started 4 years ago. After the wedding, my husband and I went on a trip to Thailand. There we spent a month and daily drank fruit cocktails - fruitshakes. At every step, cheerful Thais beat the blender with ice and fruit. Brilliant and simple. What else can you dream of in the heat of the ocean? And my entrepreneurial and vegetarian nature all the time itched. "Why does not anyone in Russia cook frenchies? It's super-delicious! ".

In 2014, I was looking for a case that I would be interested in doing. One of the ideas was Hawaiian ice cream. I decided to participate with him in the food market. And the day before, I get equipment that will make ice cream. But it does not work as it should, and I can not cook Hawaiian ice cream at all! Participation in the food market was already paid for, I was in despair and I had to come up with something urgently. The solution was fritsheyki, which we enjoyed with such pleasure in Thailand. At 10 pm my husband took me to the store and we bought a blender. Food market was excellent. And why did not I just think about fritsheyki?

If you are already confused, then smoothies, frutches and green cocktails are the same thing. Cooking them is easy. You can even go straight to the kitchen right now and whip yourself a trendy smoothie (if you, of course, have a blender). You can drink them every day. Even several times a day. In my opinion, do not be afraid to eat too much fruit and get too many vitamins. I have been drinking smoothies for breakfast every day for more than three years and I feel fine. And if my day suddenly starts not with smoothies, I feel that something is missing. They are quickly assimilated, because they already "chewed" the blender. And they are delicious and this is an excellent start to the day - to please your body with a vitamins bright vinaigrette.

What usually consists of smoothies:

  1. Fruits, berries, vegetables, greens - any what is available. Fresh or frozen - it does not matter.

  2. Sweetener - dates, honey, syrup.

  3. Liquid - water, juice, milk (for vegetarians - any vegetable milk).

  4. Superfoods and other yummies - flax seeds, chia seeds, nuts, cocoa, carob, urbech, etc.

Variations are so many that you can get lost with unaccustomed. Therefore, I offer you 3 favorite recipes (1 liter of smoothies will be output).

Pink smoothies

Ingredients:

Orange 1 pc
Grapefruit 1 pc
Cherry 1 handful
Dates 8 pcs.
Flax seeds 1 teaspoon
Preparation:

  1. We clean the orange from the peel, divide it in half, cut out the middle with bones.

  2. Clean the grapefruit from the skin and bitter films.

  3. Whisk in the blender orange, grapefruit, dates without pits, cherries without seeds and flax seeds to a homogeneous mass (without water!).

  4. Add ice, pour the water to the mark of 1L. and beat again.

Orange smoothies


Ingredients:

Gourd 1 handful
Banana 1 pc.
Dates of 6 pieces
Dried apricots 8 pcs.
Almond 1 handful
Preparation:

  1. Clean the pumpkin from the seeds and peel. We cut into pieces.

  2. We beat in a blender with a small amount of water pumpkin, dates without pits, dried apricots and almonds until a homogeneous mass.

  3. Add the banana, ice and water. Beat again.

Sometimes I add 0.5 tsp to this smoothie. cinnamon.

Green smoothies

Ingredients:

Kiwi 1 pc
Spinach 1 handful
Apple 1 pc
Celery 1 stalk
Dates 8 pcs.
Chia seeds 1 tsp.
Preparation:

  1. Clean the apple from the peel (if necessary) and seeds.

  2. In a blender with a small amount of water, whisk spinach, apple, celery, dates and chia seeds until smooth.

  3. Add kiwi, ice and water. Beat again.

Lifkhaki:

  1. In all the smoothies I add a little ice or cold water. Cool smoothies are much tastier than warm.

  2. If you use frozen ingredients and smoothies are too cold, add warm or hot water.

  3. All hard and fibrous ingredients (for example: dates, seeds, nuts, citrus, celery, greens) are best ground with a small amount of water first. Otherwise, then it will be impossible to bring the cocktail to a homogeneous state.

  4. It is better to add kiwi at the very end and grind very little (sec 20-30). Otherwise, the kiwi seeds will grind and the cocktail will be very sharp and sour because of caustic fruit acid.

  5. If you put a lot of parsley or dill, the cocktail will be sharp. Maybe even ooooochen sharp.

  6. When there is no opportunity to buy fresh greens, I take frozen spinach.

  7. Smoothies are convenient to take with them. In the gym, for example, to drink after a workout. Just add more ice to keep it cool.

  8. Smoothies with a banana are very dairy even on water.
