The whole grains concentrate energy reserve, contains biologically active substances, including vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc.
When germinated for several days these substances becoming active. In germs increases content of vitamins B and PP, increases the amount of tocopherol (vitamin E), that slows the aging process, activating the body's vital functions, there is vitamin C, which is absent in the ungeminated grain. The wheat germs contain proteins, carbohydrates, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium, zinc, iron, selenium, copper, vanadium. Only germinated grains contain rare minerals - chromium and lithium, required by the body for the prevention of diabetes and depression.
Regular consumption of wheat germs stimulates metabolism and blood formation, improves the immune system, compensates for vitamin and mineral deficiencies, helps cleanse the body of toxins and efficient digestion, slows the aging process.
How to germinated wheat grain
Put them in to the bowl
fill with water so that its level was 1 cm above the level of grain
Cover with a plate and leave on for 8-12 hours. Then drain and wash out well. Cover with a plate again.
You should wash out several times during the day. And you can see how they change through the day
Aren't they cute :D
It is useful to eat wheat germ with raw fruits, berries and vegetables, add in salads, prepare desserts, add in the first, second and third dishes, cook porridge, soups, make cakes, biscuits and wheat milk.
Also you can prepare a delicious and nutritious smoothie. It perfectly satisfy hunger, and will charge you with cheerfulness and energy for the whole day.
I have made mine with apple banana.
In my recipe I used:
1 banana
1 apple
400 ml of water (do not use milk when using wheat germ, a combination of animal and vegetable protein can cause unrest in the stomach)
3 tablespoons of wheat germs
cut fruits, put in a blender
add water
blend for 0.5-1 minutes
add wheat germs
and blend for 0.5-1 minutes
I'll Have To Try This

A fellow sprouter-lentils are my favourite! I never would have thought of blending-I just toss in salads.
