I always say that I don’t believe I’m a chef. I try to be a storyteller (Greek cuisine) - STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE

in #food7 years ago

Greek cuisine is a Mediterranean Cuisine. Contemporary Greek cookery makes wide use of vegetables, olive oil, grains, fish, wine, and meat.

What I have made today in college is something amazing and totally new for you out there. All the recipes are easy to make and when it comes to taste you will be rolling out.

Me and my friends rolling flour sheets for dessert. :D ( Baklava Sheets using flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water.)

  •   Tzatziki

  •    Baklava & Lavash

  •   Dolmas and Soupe Avgolemono

Greek Food - Fresh fruits and vegetables play a large role in the Greek diet. With its long coastline, Greece also relies heavily on fish and seafood. Meat tends to play a less important role.

It is often used as an ingredient in vegetable dishes instead of as a main dish. The islands and coastal areas of Greece favour lighter dishes that feature vegetables or seafood. In contrast, the inland regions use more meat and cheese in their cooking.

I love Mediterranean cuisine!

Great. Me too. I love to cook and eat Mediterranean Cuisine. Just want to share amazing fact which my teacher told me in college that Pasta is usually a side dish with about a 1/2-cup to 1-cup serving size. :D Where in Countries like Italy and other countries Pasta as main dish mostly.

Italy is a bit special in that. Pasta (primi piatti) is usually served right after the antipasta and just before the meat or main dish (secondi piatti). Love the simple and rich flavors of Italian food!

Well said @amy-goodrish. Italian food is rich in flavors and I personally like to add wine to give twist in aroma.

That's a good addition indeed... my fav Italian wine is Brunello!

Great. I had wine from Chianti <3 I love it.

Yummi....

Thank You you should try for sure and let me know how it goes. :D
